Permit fact card

Permit
Required: Special Use Permit — weddings are listed as special events (NPS Form 10-930, emailed to the park)
Application fee
$100.00 non-refundable application fee, payable online through Pay.gov
Other fees
Additional processing fees will be charged if the permit is approved. The park says application fees vary depending on the type of permit issued, and does not list the processing amount.
Entrance & parking
The park lists $30.00 for a private vehicle on its fees page.
Lead time
Most requests can be accommodated within 10 working days. Requests with multiple locations, complex logistics or coordination with other NPS divisions may need a minimum of four weeks, as do permits that need additional environmental compliance.
Caps & rules
The Superintendent will not issue a special event permit if the event would cause injury or damage to park resources, unreasonably interfere with visitor service or other programs, substantially impair public facilities, present a clear and present danger to health and safety, or result in significant conflict with other existing uses. Applications are handled in the order received.
